DNA. The c-Ki-ras1 gene appears to be a processed pseudogene of c-Ki-ras2. It resembles a processed mRNA of c-Ki-ras2 with the large intervening sequences spliced out exactly in accordance with normal GT-AG mRNA splicing. It lacks exon 4a and has exon 4b spliced onto exon 3 as do about 99% of the mRNAs generated from c-Ki-ras2.
