COMMENT     A cDNA of human lipocortin II, one of two phospholipase A2
            inhibitors, was cloned and sequenced. It contains 1017 bp coding
            region and a polyadenylation signal, AATAAA, is identified in 3'
            untranslated region. The two human phospholipase A2 inhibitors,
            lipocortin I and II, share about 50% amino acid sequence homology
            and thus are derived evolutionarily from a common gene.
