            linearized form by cutting at the junction (JLA) between IRA
            and LSC.
            JLA is designated zero and numbered proceeding towards LSC.
            The DNA strand which codes for the large subunit of
            ribulose 1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase is designated as A strand
            and the complementary strand as B strand.
